It’s the first day of the blog tour for the release of Fight or Flight! As you can imagine, I’m very excited.
Tomorrow, we head over to Eliza Green where you will get a first look at a snippet from one of many reader’s favourite character, Edtroka.
For today, however, I’m going to update you on how things are going in my neck of the woods as I prepare for having a second book published.
Last night, I completed the proofing and pressed ‘GO’ on the print copies. You don’t truly realise how many different copies of a book you need until your correcting mistakes. Print copy, ePub HTML, mobi HTML, Smashwords word doc, PDF copy. Any mistake found has to be checked in every copy. It can be a headache, but can also be oddly therapeutic. Of course, I did this while watching Orange is the New Black, so anything that doesn’t involve a shanking is rather therapeutic.
As people may be aware, Dead and Buryd is currently free on all online retailers. Well, the big news is that after one of the promotions by an outside site, it has hit a number 1 spot for free books in a small category, numbers 2 and 4 in others, number 21 in the Sci-Fi category, and 66 in Sci-Fi/Fantasy overall.
I’m insanely happy about this. While sales have ticked along on Dead and Buryd, it’s been slow going, and I’ve been nowhere near a number 1 spot on any listing, free or otherwise. So, yep, very very happy.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to ask that, if you have read Dead and Buryd, you leave a review on Amazon. Reviews are incredibly helpful, as many readers rely on them to choose their next book.
Back to Fight or Flight, and the Goodreads giveaway is going. You can win one of three signed copies.
You can also enter a Rafflecopter giveawayto win one of 25 eBook copies. This is a raffle, so you can enter as many times as you like. Tweet about the giveaway to earn tickets, and you get one free ticket a day if you want. Just follow the blog tour and click the link.
So, that’s it for today. I’ll see you tomorrow with the lovely Eliza Green, and not to mention Georgianna and Edtroka.
